Net Zero Emissions of Carbon is a Myth:

When hidden expenses are accounted for, it becomes obvious that solar is much more expensive than existing coal, natural gas, and nuclear power plants and that adding more solar will increase electricity prices for the families and businesses that rely upon it.

Not only are solar panels more expensive than the existing natural gas, coal, and nuclear plants but they also provide less value because they don’t provide electricity if the sun isn’t shining, which is most of the time.

GM Official Bragged About Electric Car, Then Reporter Forced Her to Admit Where Charging Electricity Comes From.

When asked about the source of electricity used to power the car, the GM official responded that it came from the building where she works.  An official with the Lansing Board of Power and Light set the reporter straight. He told him, “It would be charging off our grid, which is about 95 percent coal.”

California, a state that has been aggressively weaning its power grid off of fossil fuels, is now working on adding several natural gas-fired plants in an effort to keep the lights on this summer. 

The California Department of Water Resources is in the process of procuring five temporary gas-fueled generators. The units will be installed at existing power plants and are expected to be operating by the middle of September.

Somewhere between the proposed plan and the final project, those plans changed.

New research from Princeton University and Bloomberg confirms that renewables require 300 - 400 times more land than natural gas and nuclear plants

Wind and solar projects require 300 to 400 times more land than nuclear or natural gas plants, and that 100% renewables would require increasing land used for energy from 0.5% today to 25% to 50%.
