Solar Energy Monitoring Systems Exposed To Hackers

Fri, 07/07/2023 - 4:07pm by Anonymous

Security researchers are warning that tens of thousands of photovoltaic (PV) monitoring and diagnostic systems are reachable over the public web, making them potential targets for hackers.

These systems are used for remote performance monitoring, troubleshooting, system optimization, and other functions to allow remote management of renewable energy production units.

Stop Solar Farms In Residential Areas And On Farmland

Sat, 03/27/2021 - 3:03pm by Anonymous

We are NOT trying to stop ALL solar farms.

However we do believe they should not be built next to or in view of residential houses, on prime farm land, in areas that will cause soil erosion or have an adverse effect on wildlife, streams or anywhere else that would interfere with the natural scenic beauty of our countryside.

Security Flaws In Solar Panels Discovered

Thu, 07/23/2020 - 1:53pm by Anonymous

A Quick Question: To any country that wants to run ALL of their energy using solar power. What will you do the next time there is a solar eclipse if there is no back up power system?

Here is another reason NOT to install Solar Farms near residential neighborhoods.

In May of 2019 the First US Cyber Attack Against a Solar and Wind Energy Company took place in Utah.

Tesla Project Titan Quietly Replaced Solar-Panel Parts That Could Cause Fires.

Tue, 02/04/2020 - 11:00am by Anonymous

In 2018, Tesla Project Titan Quietly Replaced Solar-Panel Parts That Could Cause Fires

In the summer of 2018, Tesla initiated a massive undertaking — a stealth replacement of solar-panel parts across the U.S.A., called Project Titan.
The faulty parts in question were connectors and optimizers.

These parts are supposed to regulate the flow of energy and heat to a solar panel, ensuring that as much power goes through the part as possible without overheating. Overheating can lead to a fire.
